FAQ

We don’t have all the answers, but we’ll start with a short list here.

  • How do I get started as a new client?
You can give us a phone call (304-440-2688) or visit our “connect” tab in our main menu to schedule an initial 15-minute phone call to see if we’re a good fit.
  • Do I need a referral to become a new client?
While referrals are welcomed, they aren’t necessary. You can give us a call yourself, too. We can’t wait to hear from you.
  • I’m a referring physician, community support, lactation consultant, doula, friend… how do I connect my client with care at Petal & Pine?
Thank you for thinking of us and for being a partner in supporting mothers, birthing persons, and families in our community. We have a couple of avenues for sending in a referral for your client or patient. You can…
    • send a fax to (304) 485-3373
    • send a secure email to meredith@petalpinetherapy.com
    • give us a call directly (304) 440-2688
      • When reaching out, please share the patient’s name, date of birth, contact information, presenting concerns, insurance information, and completed release of information, if needed or requested.
  • What insurances do you accept? We currently accept the following in-network insurance providers:
    • WV PEIA
    • We are working hard to add more in-network options over the next few weeks. Check back for updates.
  • Do you accept out-of-network insurance options? While we won’t bill or submit claims for out-of-network insurance providers, we can provide you with a super bill so you can seek reimbursement based on your out-of-network coverage. Give us a call or contact your insurance provider if you have questions about this process.
  • Do you offer adjusted rate or sliding fee scale options? Yes we do! We want to balance quality care that doesn’t cause additional stress when we can. Let us know if cost is an issue. We can connect on a quick phone call to go over options and see if you qualify for a reduced rate.
  • Do you offer virtual or in-person counseling sessions? Right now we only offer virtual sessions for Ohio and West Virginia. While that is our current status, we hope to expand and offer in-person options for counseling sessions in the Mid-Ohio Valley region. Whether we’re primarily virtual or have a “brick and mortar” space to land in, we’ll always offer the option for virtual sessions. We’ll keep you updated as we grow.
  • Do you have a question that isn’t listed here? Give us a call. We look forward to hearing from you.
